Man loses life for love


LAHORE – A 23-year-old man was stabbed to death as the former refused to give up his love in Mustafabad, police said on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Nazeer, a resident of Mian Mir Colony of Mustafabad. Police said Nazeer wanted to marry to a girl of the same locality.
But, the police added that Mudassar and Zafar warned the deceased of giving up as Mudassar also wanted to tie knot with the girl. According to police, the accused attacked Nazeer as he refused to budge, wounding him critically. He was got to hospital where he died.
However, police booked four persons – Mudassar, Zafar and their mothers – on the complaint of the deceased’s mother.
BODIES FOUND: Police recovered a body near Data Darbar Hospital on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Khurshaid Ahmad. Sub-Inspector Aulad Hussain believed the dead could be a beggar.
Separately, a 40-year-old man was recovered dead from Khokhar Town. Police claimed that the man was an addict and died from overdose. 
FIRE: Valuables worth thousands of rupees were gutted when a fire broke out in a house in North Cantt area. Cause of fire was said to be short-circuit. Firefighters rushed to the scene and doused the flames after hectic efforts.
