Nawaz efforts on new scale



LAHORE – Efforts are on for the formation of a combined opposition in the Parliament for which the JUI(F) and PML(N) have not only made contact but the latter has also expedited activity and contacts with other parties. The purpose of the joint opposition of all parliamentary parties on the other side of the Government is to lend more weight to the voice of the Opposition against the government policies towards the institutions as well as to check their confrontation and evolve a joint strategy to steer the country out of political turmoil while suggesting the ruling parties a consensus way out, say political sources.
The N has stepped up contacts with other parties. PML(N) President Nawaz Sharif telephoned JUI(F) head Maulana Fazlur Rehman wherein he acknowledged receipt of a letter from Maualana for joint struggle for early election and discussed other political matters and brewing situation after the government defiance of the court orders and statement against the army chief and the ISI DG.
Both were on the same page for reaching out to other parties on both divide in the parliament to convince them on the need of immediate election for the sake saving the country from further decay. Sharif and Rehman is expected to meet within one to two days to work out further line of action to woo other parties. while indicating that more close relationship between the Opposition parties in the parliament, The Maulana media talk said that he and Nawaz Sharif will meet to decide parliamentary strategy (to broaden support for transforming what the Maualan said in the letter). Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has also contacted head of PPP (S) and former Federal Minister Aftab Ahmad Sherpao and Baloch leader Hasil Bizinjo and shared with them his views on the current political situation and the need to act against the PPP confrontational acts.
The JUI(F) earlswhile ally of the PPP government had left the ruling set up on December 14, 2010 blaming the government of not abiding by the terms of agreement reached with the party.
