LAHORE - The National College of Arts (NCA) is all set to open its annual Thesis Show 2013 at the Zahoor Ul Akhlaque Gallery of the college today (Sunday). The event is the largest art exhibition under one roof.The show is featuring the works by students from the different departments of the college including Fine Arts, Design, Architecture, Multimedia, Interior Design, and Film and TV. There are 40 young inspiring artists exhibiting from the department of fine arts, with majors in sculpture, printmaking, painting and miniature painting. Some 15 students are appearing from the department of textile design, six from ceramic design, 18 from communication design and 2 students from product design. The film and TV batch consists of 14 students. The architecture department is exhibiting architectural projects by 50 young architects.Some 20 students each from the graduate departments of multimedia and interior design are exhibiting for their degrees. The interior design thesis is displayed at the Tollinton Market, adjacent the Lahore Museum.Also Master’s in Visual Arts, Annual Degree Show 2013, had 15 students who graduated this year and displayed their work from the December 20, 2013 to Jan 03. The annual degree show which would be on view from January 13 to 26. The gallery will be open from 9am to 5pm daily.
