Dictators derailed democracy: Nizami

LAHORE - Editor-in-Chief The Nation and Chairman Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Majid Nizami said on Friday we achieved Pakistan under the dynamic leadership of Quaid-i-Azam. Addressing a special sitting held in connection with the 61st death anniversary of Hazrat Quaid-e-Azam at the Aiwan-e-Karkunan organised by the Nazria Pakistan Trust in collaboration with Tehrek-e-Pakistan Workers Trust. He said it was his belief that by achieving Pakistan, the Quaid liberated the deprived Muslims of the sub-continent from bitter imperialism of the Hindus and the English rulers. He said Almighty Allah bestowed the Muslims with heroic leader, Quaid-e-Azam who fought for their fundamental rights against the imperialists, who intended to hand over Hindustan to the Hindus without its division. He said the state which was achieved by rendering great sacrifices had been handed over to the armed generals, adding the dictators including Ayub Khan, Yahya Khan, Ziaul Haq and Musharraf derailed the constitution and plundered the state for their own vested interests. He maintained that Quaid struggled day and night for the great cause and lastly achieved a state for the Muslims of South Asia. He stressed that Pakistan is incomplete without the liberation of Kashmir as the Quaid termed Kashmir the jugular vein of Pakistan. Now it is up to the rulers to tackle the issue by using their political wisdom, he added. Majid Nizami said Hindu extremists looted Muslim caravan migrating towards Pakistan, adding thousands of the Muslims women were molested amid massive migration. He said now the government should utilise the atomic technology for power generation besides launching mega projects for the prosperity of Pakistan. Tehrek-e-Pakistan Workers Trust Chairman Col (r) Jamshid Ahmad Tareen said Quaid-i-Azam was a great, valiant and fearless leader in the history of the world. He said Quid fought against two common enemies at the same time and secured the Muslims from the cruelties of the Hindus and the English imperialists. Worker of Pakistan Movement Col (r) Amjad Hussain said he met with Quaid on the special directions of late Hameed Nizami and Dr Allama Iqbal in 1936 and promised to work for the mutual cause. Chief Justice (r) Mian Allah Nawaz said on the occasion that on the 61st death anniversary of the great leader, we as a whole nation should analyse our current situation and admit this fact that we are deviating from the ideology and the golden principals of Quaid-i-Azam.
