Rathore hosts dinner for journalists

LAHORE - Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Mohammad Pervez Rathore said he received a lot of respect from media personnel during his career as police officer. The CCPO expressed these views while addressing to a self-organized farewell dinner given in honour of crime reporters at Qilla Gujjar Singh Police Lines on Monday. He said he tried his best to address public problems throughout his career. I have lot of interesting and sad incidents to share but one thing is quite clear the masses and CM Punjab are fully satisfied with my performance, he added. Renowned Nawa-i-Waqt columnist Dr Ajmal Niazi said on this occasion Pervez Rathore responded immediately after he received any complaint from any sector. He successfully tried his best to minimize the gulf between masses and police dept," he added. The officers like IG and Pervez Rathore are the real assets of police department, he added. Alhamra Arts Council Chairman Board of Governors Attaul Haq Qasmi said, I met Pervez Rathore in Norway when he arrived with the then prime minister. He looked beautiful in first glances and I realized to know about his performance that he was a philanthropic officer.
