LAHORE - Jamaate Islami chief Syed Munawar Hasan on Tuesday said Kashmir issue could be resolved if 56 Muslim states get united and jointly put pressure on India in this regard. Talking to a delegation from Azad Kashmir at Mansoora, he also condemned silence of human rights organisations and Muslim rulers on Indias continued state terrorism in Indian Occupied Kashmir. He said that Indian occupation forces in Occupied Kashmir had martyred around 100,000 Kashmiris so far and is continuing blood shedding campaign of the innocent people. He said that India was employing different tactics to divide the Kashmiris. The issuance of Dogra Certificate was one of such examples and the aim was to divide the Kashmiris on ethnic grounds. However, he said, the Kashmiris had rejected the Indian move and strongly protested over the issue. He paid tribute to the Kashmiris for their heroic struggle for freedom and expressed the hope that they would soon be able to break the shackles of slavery. Later, the chief assured the delegation of JIs continued moral and diplomatic support in their just struggle at every level.
