Youth mela

OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE To mark the International Youth Day, Youth Mela was arranged by the provincial information department on the premises of Al-Hamra Arts Council on Friday. The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has set up a stall and youths, NGOs, women and the students were given PEF brochures, leaflets and other publicity material about the educational activities of the Foundation in the 29 districts where it is performing a joint venture with about 2500 schools to educate the poor children. Meanwhile, the Chanan Development Association (CDA) held a Press Conference at Lahore Press Club to launch Asian Youth Conference and Peace Festival 2011 on September 28-30, 2011. Addressing the press conference, CDA Executive Director Muhammad Shahzad Khan said that the AYCPF 2011 will be organised by Chanan Development Association in collaboration with Youth Peer Education Network (Y-PEER) Pakistan, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and Information, Culture and Youth Affairs (IC&YA) Department. He also informed that more than 650 delegates from all over Asia would be invited and the main theme of the conference is Together, We Are the Solution
