LAHORE - A cheque of Rs 0.25 million as financial assistance on behalf of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif was handed over to the family of Constable Abdul Razzaq of Mianwali, who is father of five disabled children. The children suffering from muscular dystrophy were shifted to the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Hospital, Rawalpindi through a government ambulance for their free of cost treatment. The CM has also issued orders for the reinstatement of Constable Abdul Razzaq, says a handout issued here Monday. DCO Mianwali Mian Tariq Mehmood went to the residence of Abdul Razzaq and presented him a cheque of Rs 2.5 lakh. The constable thanked the CM for the provision of financial assistance and carrying out the treatment of his children on govt expense. It may be mentioned that the CM while taking notice of a news item regarding disabled children telecast by the electronic media, announced free of cost treatment to the children along with their financial assistance and ordered the DCO Mianwali to immediately submit report in this regard.
