Military Farms victorious in Pakistan Polo Cup

LAHORE - Military Farms Group took full advantage of the two-and-a-half goal handicap to beat A and A Farm Fresh in the A and A Pakistan Polo Cup here on Thursday while Royal Palm-Punjab Police had an easy going against Guard Rice-Diamond Paints at the Lahore Polo Club ground. After going even in field goals when both the teams Military Farms and A and A Farms converted six each, the former team though less in handicap, won the game by eight-and-a-half to six on the same advantage. Shah Shamyl Alam's efforts with four goals went to dogs when he saw his rivals sneak to win. However, Omer Asjad was instrumental in MFG win. In the other match, it was the lone ride of Royal Palm-Punjab Police as their rivals did not score a single goal as against four converted by the winner team. The umpires for the matches were Ahmad Nawaz Tiwana, Hissam Ali Hyder, Kashif Jamal and James Harper.
