LAHORE - Federal Investigation Agency on Thursday conducted raid in Gojra, district Mandi Bahaud Din to arrest former EOBI chairman Zafar Iqbal Gondal, but could not arrest him.  On the condition of anonymity, a senior officer said the accused perhaps has changed his hideout. He said that local police also joined the Federal Investigation Agency team during the raid.
INDIAN LIQUOR SEIZED
Pakistan Rangers claimed to have foiled another attempt of smuggling Indian liquor on Thursday.
The Rangers spokesman said there was information that smugglers would cross the Pak-India border near Kanganpur Sector. He said that a Rangers team was kept alert and security was beefed up to monitor the situation. At night, the team heard some noise and spotted some movement. Suddenly, the smugglers opened fire but due to Rangers team’s effective response, the outlaws ran back and left 151 bottles of liquor.
