Parties should rename NWFP jointly: 'Q'

LAHORE The Awami National Party (ANP) should listen to the demands of the majority instead of shooting innocent people while the PML-N is responsible for the mayhem at Abbotabad. Talking to media here Tuesday, PML-Q Punjab President Ch Pervaiz Elahi further said if all the political parties could sit together for 18th amendment then they should also deliberate over renaming the NWFP jointly. He reminded that the name of the NWFP was approved by Quaid-e-Azam and it should not be changed, adding PML-Q firmly stands by it. He said that PML-N leaders had no right to call themselves Muslim Leaguers after violating the principles of the Founder of Pakistan. He advised that the ANP leadership instead of calling the people of Hazara division as miscreants should listen to their demand. All the political forces should deliberate over the demand of the people of Hazara division to avoid further bloodshed, he opined and added that clause in 18th amendment related to the new name of the NWFP could be dealt separately, while all the political parties could sit together to discuss the peoples demand for holding a referendum in this regard.
