LAHORE - Jamaat-e-Islami Shoora has stressed upon Muslim countries to play their role to ensure exemplary punishments to the Zionist elements responsible for heinous war crimes against Palestinians in Gaza last year. The resolution adopted by Shoora unanimously in its meeting held with Syed Munawar Hassan in the chair, drew attention of the world towards Zionist conspiracies to demolish Al-Aqsa mosque, urging the world community to ensure protection of Al-Aqsa warning that in case it was razed it would cause anger in the entire Muslim world. Another resolution condemned Washington and its Justice system for punishing Dr Aafia Siddiqi in crimes she did not commit. The resolution said violations of norms of justice by the so-called champions of justice, human rights and women rights was actually a manifestation of deep western hatred of Muslims and to punish Muslim groups for resisting US invasion and occupation of Iraq, Afhganistan and other Muslim lands. It also condemned the abduction of thousands of other missing persons and torture in secret torture cells, demanding their immediate release. A resolution on deliberate and repeated blasphemy of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) by the European press in shape of offensive sketches, the Shoora condemned press and governments of Sweden, Norway, Denmark and other countries, terming it organized campaign to offend Muslim ummah by those who called themselves champions of human rights and freedom. A resolution on Balochistan demanded provincial autonomy to provinces specially Balochistan under 73 constitution, provision of all basic facilities to the areas having natural resources, economic uplift, arrest and punishment to killers of Nawab Akbar Bugti and close Nato supply line. Another resolution demanded immediate halt in military operation in Fata, part ways with US war on terror, stop extra judicial killings, arrests and demolition of houses of Fata people, call jirga to establish peace in Fata and withdraw army from Fata besides compensate the losses of military operations. Other resolutions demanded strict implementation of law in Karachi, lift political pressure from institutions and purge the city of arms. Another resolution demanded party based elections of local bodies all over the country and restrict administrators to minimum period.
