PML Punjab issues investigating paper regarding incomplete projects

LAHORE - PR - An investigating paper issued by the Pakistan Muslim League (PML) Punjab provincial secretariat here has disclosed that Shahbaz Sharif was hurt by Rs 27 billion loss to the national kitty by delay in the completion of Nandipur Power Project but whom he will hold responsible for the huge loss of billions of rupees to the Punjab exchequer by his own hands due to leaving the projects incomplete, says a press release.
PML Punjab has stated in an investigating paper issued in this regard that because of dozens of projects of public welfare of which some were 90 percent complete during the last year (2007) of the tenure of Ch Parvaiz Elahi, were shelved. The press release further says that tens of millions of people were being denied their fruits and their construction costs had gone up by more than 100 per cent
Additional burden of billions of rupees has been put on the exchequer. According to the investigating paper delay in the completion of projects have so far put additional burden of over Rs 30 billion on the Punjab exchequer.
Wazirabad Cardiology Hospital started during the tenure of Ch Parvaiz Elahi was scheduled to become functional in 2008 but remaining 10 per cent work was still incomplete even after six years due to negligence of the government. Costly machinery has been stolen and cost estimate has gone up by Rs one billion, who is responsible for this loss?  Ch Parvaiz Elahi got Murree Water Supply project on which Rs 1. 5 billion were spent against total estimated cost of Rs 3.5 billion. This project was also incomplete so far. Its cost has been doubled to Rs 7 billion. Who is responsible for this loss?

42 new colleges were constructed in the province by 2007, last year of the tenure of Ch Parvaiz, which were not provided staff and furniture even after six years. Additional funds of Rs 3 billion were required for making these colleges functional. Who is responsible for this loss?

Work on IT Tower had been completed up to 95 per cent in 2007 but it was shut by Shahbaz govt on coming into power in 2008. Afterwards, work on it was started again by paying penalty of Rs 35 crore to the same Chinese company and due to delay additional funds of Rs 50 crore were spent. Who is responsible for this additional loss of Rs 85 crore?
50 per cent work of Mayo Hospital Surgical Tower was completed during the tenure of Ch Parvaiz. Tens of thousands of rupees loss occurred to the exchequer by stopping this project. Who is responsible for this loss?

It has been further revealed in the investigating paper that details of huge losses running into billions of rupees caused to the public exchequer due to leaving incomplete inter-district roads construction projects, schools, colleges, hospitals, Seerat Academy, Industrial Estate projects was in addition to these incomplete projects listed above.
It has been further stated in the investigating paper that if the Punjab Chief Minister has even little bit concern for the hard earned income of the people which was paid in the exchequer as taxes then he should identify those responsible for the huge loss of Rs 30 billion and get them harshest possible punishment so that the way of such losses should be closed in future.
