LAHORE - Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Chairman Rafique Tarar said that we could attain an indomitable position of strength and glory among the international community by cherishing and devoutly following the exemplar of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
Delivering his presidential address at the two-day Seeratun Nabi Conference being held at the Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan by the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust, he said that the Prophet transformed the most barbarous people in the world into the most refined and scholarly nation.
The NPT in collaboration with the Pakistan Movement Workers Trust arranged the sitting as part of 7-day Eid-i-Milad-un-Nabi celebrations. On the first day, the conference was chaired by Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust chairman Rafique Tarar, with Pir Syed Muhammad Kabir Ali Shah Gillani of Choora Sharif as guest of honour.
The speakers included Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust vice chairman Professor Dr Rafique Ahmad, Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust chief co-ordinanator Mian Farooq Altaf, Allama Raghib Hussain Naeemi, Dr Tahir Raza Bukhari, Pir Ejaz Ahmad Hashmi and Allama Naseer Ahmad Qadri. Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust secretary Shahid Rasheed conducted the proceedings.
Professor Dr Rafique Ahmad observed that many European philosophers and intellectuals had eulogised the unique traits of the personality and character of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). They have paid homage to his jurisprudence and his capability of transforming illiterate and wild individuals into the loftiest and most enviable personages, he added.
“The Madina-Pact stands witness to his sagacity and farsightedness. The issue of the distribution of booty was resolved in an exemplary way after the Hunain expedition. Every time we study the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) life, our inner world or nature gets more and more refined,” the speaker observed.
Mian Farooq Altaf observed that like the first Islamic state of Madina, Pakistan, the second state won in the name of Islam, is also besieged by horrible conspiracies. The evils of provincialism, lingualism and sectarianism are being invoked by the enemies to weaken Pakistan, he added. Mutual love, fraternity and unity are the traits, which are most required at the present moment, Mian Farooq opined.
