LAHORE - A well-trained ‘Crime Fighting Unit’ has been established in Lahore’s Iqbal Town police division to effectively counter the crimes and to hunt down the criminals. Another section called Crimes Analysis Unit has also been activated to downgrade the rising crimes incidents in the provincial metropolis. “The basic purpose of the crime fighting unit and the establishment of crime analysis unit are to intensify armed patrolling at police station level. This initiative would also help police hunt down the hideouts of the gangsters,” Dr Farrakh Raza, Superintendent of Police Iqbal Town told reporters while addressing a news conference at his office on Friday.This news was published in The Nation newspaper.
