SKMCH Zakat campaign

LAHORE: Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre is going to launch its Zakat Collection Campaign for the year 2014. In this connection, members of Shaukat Khanum Tigers Club are organising an official launch ceremony at the Hospital on June 16 at 6pm.
Dr Faisal Sultan, CEO Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, will be the chief guest on this occasion and will highlight the significance of this campaign.
The event aims to raise awareness amongst the youth about the Zakat Collection Campaign and its importance to the hospital and the cancer patients, and to encourage the youth to actively participate in this “all important” campaign.
It may be recalled that last year the members of Shaukat Khanum Tigers club actively participated in outdoor activities aimed at promoting the Zakat Collection Campaign including visiting malls, shops and going door-to-door to spread awareness about this campaign in masses. This year too, the tigers are helping the hospital management to organise such events and simultaneously doing the same outdoor activities.
The total amount of Zakat collected will be spent on the free treatment of deserving cancer patients as usual. The management of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital hopes that the people of Pakistan will donate more and support this noble cause.–PR
