LAHORE: Punjab Nursing Examination Board has announced results of all categories General Nursing Examinations held in March-April 2016. Secretary Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Najam Ahmed Shah gave approval to announce the results.
In this connection, a meeting was held in Civil Secretariat headed by Secretary Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Punjab Najam Ahmed Shah. Controller Nursing Examination Board Punjab Ms Zubaida Sawar Khan, DG Nursing Nusrat Saeeda, Deputy Controller Zubaida Musarrat, Deputy Secretary Medical Education Dr. Nasir Shakir and other concerned officers attended the meeting. Ms Zubaida Sawar Khan briefed the Secretary about the results of the examination board.
She informed that 143 students of general nursing first year appeared in the exams, out of them 138 students passed. Similarly, General Nursing Second Year, 369 students participated in the exam and 284 candidates passed, General Nursing 3rd year 176 students appeared in the exam out of which 147 cleared the exam.
Ms. Zubaida Sawar Khan further informed that 133 girls of pupil midwife appeared in the exam and out of them 117 students succeeded. Moreover, 577 students of LHV II appeared in the exam and 527 cleared the exam, 168 students contested in LHV III exam and 132 passed, first year license practice nurses exam was contested by 214 students and out of them 183 passed.
Similarly, second year license nursing exam was contested by 167 students out of them 138 passed. Moreover, 124 students appeared in the Family Welfare Workers Exam Part-I and only one student has failed, Family Welfare Workers Part-II Exam 93 students appeared and 92 succeeded. As a whole 3669 students contested in the above said categories out of them 3354 passed the examination while 302 failed and 13 students were absent. The overall results stand more than 91 percent.On this occasion, Secretary Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Najam Ahmed Shah said that Directorate General Nursing Office to be strengthened. He directed to search a suitable and better place for the office of Nursing Examination Board Punjab.
