LAHORE: The Punjab Excise and Taxation (E&T) seized 100 litre local made liquor, 1.5 kg heroin and heavy quantity of raw material supposed to be used in preparation of liquor, said an Excise and Taxation Officer (ETO) on Friday. E&T also arrested five accused allegedly involved in the preparation of illegal liquor including a female accused Gurya, Muhammad Hussain, Muhammad Abbas, Muhammad Mansha and Riaz Basra. The cases were registered with Shahdara, Data Darbar and Sabzara Zar police stations. Within last three months, Excise branch seized 10 kg heroin and more than 550 liters spurious liquor, 500gm charas and opium, ecstasy injections and pills.–Staff Reporter
