NPT slams BD JI leader’s killing

LAHORE  - A protest demonstration was held at Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan under the aegis of the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust against the hanging of Jama’at-i-Islami Bangladesh Amir Mati-ur-Rehman by the Pro-Indian government of Bangladesh.
The demonstration was led by the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Chairman Rafique Tarar. The participants included Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust vice chairman Professor Dr Rafique Ahmad, Chief coordinator Mian Farooq Altaf, Justice (r) Mian Aftab Farrukh, eminent journalist Jamil Athar, Riaz Choudhry, Azher Maqbool Shah Advocate, Shahid Rasheed, the office-bearers and workers of the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust and Pakistan Movement Workers Trust and a large number of people from different walks of life.
Tarar said that the puppet Prime Minister of Bangladesh Haseena Wajid was fulfilling the Indian agenda. Awarding sentences to the supporters of a united Pakistan is aimed at pleasing India.
Violating all the international rules, she established a so-called war crimes tribunal that is slaying justice by awarding death sentences to the supporters of a united Pakistan, he added.
Tarar said that Sheikh Haseena Wajid must remember the horrible end of her father. He paid a glowing tribute to Mati-ur-Rehman who had laid down his life to uphold the Two-Nation Theory without appealing for mercy.
The participants called on all the political and religious parties to protest the sentences being awarded to the supporters of a united Pakistan.
