LAHORE - PU VC Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran has said attention should be given to education in the same manner as was given to atomic programme.
He said that government should spend money on education as per international standards. He was addressing the flag-hoisting ceremony on Friday. PU Law College Principal Dr Shazia Qureshi, Registrar Prof Dr Liaqat Ali, Resident Officer-I Prof Dr Sajid Rashid, Additional Registrar Dr Kamran Abid, Malik Muhammad Zaheer, Dr Hafiz Muhammad Rafiq, Dr Mahboob Hussain, senior faculty members, employees, students and a large number of students were present on the occasion. In his address, Dr Mujahid Kamran said that we must respect other religions and should take care of rights of minorities because Pakistan was created with the efforts and thoughts of Quaid-e-Azam & Allama Iqbal and millions of people sacrificed their homes and lives. He said that our leaders and bureaucracy did not give priority to education and health and today we were facing the results. He advised the parents to give special attention on the education of their children. Later, sweets were distributed among the participants. Similar fuctions were held at UVAS, NCA and other institutes.
