LAHORE Punjab Health Department has completed recruitment of another batch of 867 Nurses for posting in different government hospitals in the province. Secretary Health Punjab Fawad Hassan Fawad said that majority of the newly recruited nurses have been posted in the hospitals and RHCs of their home districts. But in case of unavailability of vacant post in the home district, the department had tried to accommodate such nurses in the adjacent district. He further said that newly recruited nurses can obtain their appointment orders from his office during the office hours. He hoped that by the posting of 867 nurses, the working of the hospitals would be further improved. Meanwhile, the Health Department has also regularized 197 nurses who had been working on contract basis in various government hospitals. The Spokesman of the Health Department has advised to the regularized nurses to collect their orders from the office of the Secretary Health Punjab.
