LAHORE - Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Tasadduq Hussain Jillani visited Supreme Court Lahore Registry amid stringent security arrangements and reviewed the administrative matters relating to the registry here on Saturday.
This was his first visit since assumption of charge as CJP.
A smart contingent of Lahore police presented an impressive guard of honor, while the police band played the national songs at the arrival of CJP Justice Tasadduq Hussain Jillani at the Lahore Registry.
The city administration had made elaborate security arrangements, as the SC Lahore Registry and its surrounding areas were got cleared by the sniffer dogs, while the road leading to the registry was blocked for traffic by placing barricades besides heavy deployment of police made on The Mall and its adjoining arteries. SC Lahore Registry staff lined up welcoming the new CJP Tassaduq Hussain Jillani and felicitated him on assumption of charge as the top judge of the country.
