Heavy contingent of Lahore police surround Mansura

A heavy contingent of police has besieged the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Headquarter here. Sources said that a caravan leaving for participation in the long march from JI Headquarter were scheduled reaching Lahore High Court (LHC) at 10.00, but the administration has blocked all the roads by erecting barriers and placing containers and tractor trolleys, causing inconvenience to the local residents also. JI chief Qazi Hussain Ahmad, who was to lead the caravan, has already reached Islamabad yesterday and now Liaquat Baloch would be leading the caravan, however, due to blockade of roads the departure of the caravan from here doesn't seem possible. Liaquat Baloch said that he has the alternative plan and he would be reaching LHC under all circumstances. On the other hand, JI Amir, Qazi Hussain Ahmad has sent a message urging workers to dodge arrests and reach Islamabad for sit-in under all circumstances.
