LAHORE - An underworld queen, Shamaa Bibi alias Aunty Candy, was arrested yesterday with half-kg charas.
Police said the woman, who had a history of drug-crimes, was sent to a jail in the evening. “Police investigators produced the woman and her partner in a court that sent her on judicial remand,” said duty officer Muhammad Nawaz.
Earlier, the Sanda police registered a criminal case (FIR No 1422/15) against her. According to the police record, the drug-pusher had undergone three-year imprisonment on similar charges several years ago.
Police officials said Candy along with her partner Faheem Shah was arrested red-handed when she was delivering half-kg charas to a client on Bund road late Friday.
However, sources in police department said the police team had seized a huge quantity of narcotics from them but only 500 grams were mentioned in the case. Further investigation was underway.
