Rana raps Khan as ‘suicide bomber of politics’

LAHORE - Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has defended the Sharif family over the issue of offshore companies.

“Setting up offshore companies under the law is not a crime and if the opposition insists on holding probe into the foreign firms by PM Nawaz Sharif’s children, the opposition leaders will land themselves in trouble,” Sana told the media at Punjab Assembly cafeteria yesterday.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has clarified his position on the floor of Parliament, so he doesn’t need to explain further, he said. Sana took a swipe at PTI leader Imran Khan, calling him “a suicide bomber of politics”.

“Imran Khan has become a suicide bomber of politics as he appears out to destroy everything.  Imran Khan has put on a suicide jacket but the government would defuse it very carefully and patiently,” the law minister added.  He said had a person giving call for a city’s shutdown any other country, that person would have been sent to mental hospital. About a question on Dawn report, the law minister reiterated his government’s stance of rejecting the story as ‘fabricated’.  The minster maintained that the CJP has “clarified his remarks on Orange Line”.
