LAHORE - A court on Friday extended interim-bail of former Punjab chief minister’s principal secretary Tauqeer Shah and staff officer Talha Barki in the Khawaja Sharif murder plot case.
Central Judge Farooq Altaf extended the bail until September 21. The accused, Tauqeer Shah, Talha Barki, Col (r) Ehsan, Shahid Mehmood, Ijaz Ahmad and Muhammad Azam, were brought to the court. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials also requested the court to direct the accused to cooperate with investigators.
They have been facing the charges of issuing a false intelligence report about the murder plot of former LHC chief justice to create differences among the federal government, provincial government and the judiciary.
