World must respect Pakistan sovereignty: Nawaz

Pakistan Muslim League-N chief Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that Pakistan respect independence and sovereignty of other countries and wants reciprocation of the same treatment.
He said that Pakistan wanted ties with all countries based upon mutual respect and equality.
He was talking to Italian ambassador to Pakistan Vincenzo Prati, who called on him at his Raiwind residence here in Lahore on Monday.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on Pakistan’s role in the war on terror, bilateral relations and situation in the region.
The PML-N leader said that war on terror was casting Pakistan heavily as it had lost its 36,000 soldiers and innocent civilians.
He stressed that the world must recognize these sacrifices and play its role to stabilize Pakistan.
He said that they wanted peace and prosperity in the country and while taking decisions on national issues, they would give priority to public sentiments.
Nawaz said Italy had always extended support to Pakistan in difficult times and for strong democracy which was a good omen.
The Italian ambassador said that they viewed PML-N efforts for strengthening of democracy with great value.
He said that they wanted a stable Pakistan and the bilateral cooperation over trade and business would continue.
Praty also appreciated the development projects launched by Punjab government in the province.
