LAHORE - The Punjab government has announced public holiday across the province on December 16 on account of Army Public School attack in Peshawar.
A notification of holiday was issued by home department yesterday. According to the notification, all the government schools and offices will remain closed.
Earlier, the Khyber PakhtunKhwa government had announced a public holiday in Peshawar on Wednesday, December 16 on the first anniversary of Army Public School Attack.
The school was attacked by Taliban terrorists on 16 December 2014. More than 140 people including about 132 children were killed before the army commandos stormed into the campus building and killed all seven attackers.
