LAHORE - Karachi Yellow inflicted lone-goal win to Quetta Yellow at Peoples Sports Complex, Karachi in the PFF U-13 Youth Cup on Thursday. The all-important goal was scored by striker Badar Ul Hassan in the 41st minute. Meanwhile, other two matches ended in 0-0 draw. Sahiwal floored several opportunities in 0-0 draw with Faisalabad Green at Rai Ali Nawaz Stadium, Sahiwal, while Bannu were held to 0-0 draw by Islamabad at Tehmas Khan Stadium, Peshawar. The 10-day event, having 27 teams, comprises 35 matches. The PFF had formed teams of 26 youth football coaches working under the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) AID-27 Financial Assistance Scheme, comprising players born on or after January 1 1996 while ILO's Sialkot Blue completes the number. The PFF also approved the venues for the final of three centres. Lahore centre final will be played on January 16 at Lahore's Railway Stadium, Garhi Shahu while Sharafi Goth's Korangi Baloch Stadium will host Karachi Centre final on 17 January, followed Peshawar Centre Final on January 19. There will be no final in Faisalabad centre and top teams of league will be declared champion on January 17. The top teams of four centres will qualify for National U-13 Festival of Football at Model Town Football Academy, Lahore from January 28 - February 8 2009.
