OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE A man was crushed to death while four others including a boy sustained minor injuries in different road accidents in the City on Friday. As per details, two persons namely Safdar and Allah Ditta were going somewhere in Gulberg police area when a speeding car (LEK-3539) hit them, resultantly they suffered multiple injuries. Later, Rescue 1122 and Edhi officials shifted the injured to the Services Hospital where one Safdar died on the spot while the condition of the other injured was told critical till filing of this report. Police have lodged an FIR against unidentified driver with no arrest. Meanwhile, a minor boy Zuhaib was crushed by an uncontrolled truck in Islampura police area on the same day. The driver of the truck managed to flee from the crime scene while the condition of the minor was told critical till filing of this report. In another incident, a youth namely Qaiser, 17, was injured when a car hit him near Quaid-e-Azam Chowk. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where his condition was said to be out of danger. The other youth, 15, name not known, was injured on Ferozpur Road underpass when he was hit by a motorcycle during crossing.Fire erupted: Fire erupted in the office of a local newspaper located in Kartaba Complex near Mozang Chowk due to short circuit on Friday. Rescue 1122 officials said that papers, valuables and other material worth thousands of rupees were gutted. Rescue 1122 officials controlled the fire.
