Top UK envoy calls on Shehbaz

LAHORE - British High Commissioner in Pakistan Thomas Drew called on Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif yesterday and discussed the Pak-UK relations and promotion of cooperation in different sectors.

The British high commissioner felicitated the CM on the recovery of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He also lauded the efforts of Shehbaz Sharif for the uplift of education, health and other social sectors in Punjab.

Drew further said that collaboration with Punjab government in education, health, skill development and other social sectors will be continued.

Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that a lot of progress has been made in every sector during last three years under the leadership of PM Nawaz Sharif. He said that Pakistani nation is fully united to root out the menace of terrorism. “There is no room for terrorism and extremism in the Pakistan of Quaid-e-Azam,” Shehbaz told the British, adding that Pakistan attaches special importance to its ties with Britain.
