Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country for the next 48 hours, forecast the Meteorological Department on Wednesday.  However, dust-thunderstorm with light rain is likely at isolated places of Northeast Punjab (Gujranwala, Lahore, Rawalpindi divisions) and Kashmir, it added. According to the Meteorological Department, a low lies over Balochistan and adjoining areas whereas, a shallow westerly trough is also prevailing over Kashmir and adjoining areas.
