Two big discuss development

LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister  Shahbaz Sharif called on Governor Malik Muhammad Rafiq Rajwana at the Governor House.
During the meeting, overall political and economic situation of the country and development projects in Punjab, particularly in the southern part of the province, were discussed in detail.
The governor said since the government was fully determined to bring socio-economic change in the lives of its people, he would play his due constitutional role in this regard.
The CM congratulated the governor on assuming new responsibilities and hoped that he will play his role to bring good to its people. The chief minister said that all the party leaders as well as the workers had great respect for him and his appointment as the Governor Punjab was being hailed in every corner.
The governor, in turn, also praised Shahbaz Sharif, saying that the people of Punjab were lucky to have got a person like him as the chief minister, who was making all out efforts to improve the life of a common man.
The chief minister told the governor that several development projects were in progress in the province and many new mega projects were in the pipeline especially for the South Punjab.
Talking about new projects in the health and education sectors, Rajwana said more focus should be given on the South Punjab to bring it at par with the other develop cities of the province. He also said that due to the prudent economic policies of the present government the economy was in a better shape now and the international financial institutions had also acknowledged this fact. The governor said the investment of 46 billion $ by the Chinese government in Pakistan showed their trust on the government and its policies.  They reiterated their resolve to continue with struggle to bring in betterment.
