LAHORE - A man stabbed his mother-in-law to death over property dispute at Lytton Road Police limits on Monday. The accused identified as Sadiq killed Razia, 55, for refusing to transfer her house to his name, police investigators said. Sub-Inspector (SI) Asghar said the accused lived on the third floor of a building located in New Islamia Park, which was owned by Razia. Sadiq was insisting on transferring the property for a long time but every time his mother-in-law Razia made excuses, which irritated him, he added. Police maintained that early on Monday the accused went mad after listening perpetual denial and attacked her with a stab as a result of which the woman suffered multiple injuries. She was rushed to the Mayo Hospital where the doctors pronounced her dead. The accused however managed to escape from the crime scene. Sub-Inspector, who also visited the crime scene, revealed that a murder case had been lodged against him. The accused was still at large till filing of this report. Further investigation is underway. Woman succumbed to wounds A woman succumbed to wounds after a motorbike hit her in Mozang police area on Monday. According to Edhi official, the woman identified as Perveen died when a motorbike hit her badly on Mozang Road. He said woman was critically injured by the over speeding bike and was rushed to the Services Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. He said the accused managed to flee from the scene. No case was registered till filing of this report.
