Scholarships for Mathematics students


LAHORE - In order to popularise the subject of Mathematics among female students, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore issues five scholarships every year to those candidates who, on the basis of marks obtained in Mathematics at Intermediate level, seek admission in BA/BSc classes selecting Mathematics as one of the subjects.
Those candidates who fulfil these conditions and have passed Intermediate (Annual) Examination of this Board in 2011 and have taken admission in BA/BSc classes of a Government or affiliated college with Mathematics as a subject are directed to send applications on a simple paper along with attested copies of Intermediate result card to the Secretary of the Board through the Principal of the institution they had joined up to October 25, 2012.
The applications should contain complete particulars of the candidates like name, father’s name, roll number against which they passed the Intermediate Examination, marks obtained in Mathematics and the subjects offered for study at BA/BSc classes. The amount of scholarship shall be Rs.500/- for resident students and Rs.300/- for non-resident students and its duration shall be for two years. Moreover, Rs.1,000/- per year shall be admissible as book allowance.
No application shall be entertained after the above mentioned date.
