Hindus not accepted creation of Pakistan: Nizami

LAHORE - Chairman Nazria Pakistan Trust and Editor-in-Chief, The Nation, Majid Nizami has said that Hindus did not accept creation of Pakistan due to their hypocrisy and they gave the credit of it to Mohatma Ghandi. He said Pakistan came into being when the first person of Hindustan converted to Islam. He said Jaswant Singhs book did not give credit to Quaid-e-Azam but he wanted sale of his book in Pakistan. Majid Nizami was addressing a ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Karkunan Tehrik-e-Pakistan on Friday. The ceremony highlighted 11-year struggle of Nazria Pakistan Trust. Workers of Pakistan Movement and people from different walks of life participated in the program. He said that we all were thankful to (late) Ghulam Haider Wyne for establishing this Aiwan for the workers of Pakistan Movement instead of constructing a house for his wife. He said Wyne Shaheed allocated millions of rupees to inspire the young generation to learn about Pakistan Movement. He said with the grace of Almighty Allah, we are steadily achieving the goal set by late Wyne. He said that NPT with collaboration of Tehrik-e-Pakistan Workers Trust also financially supported needy workers of Pakistan Movement. He expressed his sorrow over the resignation of Dr Javed Iqbal from the institution and said that there might be difference of opinion on an issue but the goal should be the creation of Islamic welfare and democratic state He said that Dr Javed Iqbal was the son of Allama Iqbal and a role model for the young generation. He said that Mobile Units of NPT visited 852 educational institutions during the year to introduce young generation about Ideology of Pakistan and. NPT would continue its pace to achieve the desired goal. Majid Nizami said that Hindus were doing propaganda to declare Quaid-e-Azam as a secular leader and the book of Jaswant Singh was in that connection to prove this false notion. The Chairman NPT praised the role of Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif and said that he provided vehicles for NPT, the Units of NPT were able to spread the Ideology of Pakistan in educational institutions. Majid Nizami expressed his grief over the renaming of NWFP province as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and said that Nawaz Sharif injured the feelings of Quaid-e-Azam soul by accepting this name. He said that inspite of Chaudhry Shujjat saying that his party did not accept the new name of province, his party members voted in favour of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which was not a good sign. Chairman NPT said that some hawks have occupied the Muslim League. He spoke in favour of a united Muslim League and urged that instead of factions, a unified Muslim is needed by masses. Majid Nizami said that Manzoor Watto occupied some assets of NPT but we went to courts against it and after the court verdict NPT got its assets. Vice Chairman NPT, Dr Rafique Ahmed made a presentation of yearly activities of NPT. Chairman Tehrik-e-Pakistan Workers Trust, Dr Jamshed Tareen worker of Pakistan Movement Amjad Hussain, Famous Muslim League leader Ghulam Dastgir, MNA Bushra Rehman, Maj Gen(r) Rahit Latif, Waleed Iqbal and secretary NPT Shahid Rasheed also spoke at occasion.
