NPT keeps Pakistan ideology alive: Nizami

LAHORE  - The Nation Editor-in-Chief and Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Chairman Dr Majid Nizami has said that the NPT has been keeping the ideology of Pakistan fresh and alive in the memory of youth through its innovative programmes.
Dr Majid Nizami was addressing the 7th annual meeting of NPT’s general council on Wednesday.
“The Aiwan-i-Quaid-i-Azam will be counted as a great ideological university disseminating knowledge. Information about our dear homeland, national heroes, the causes and aims of creation of Pakistan, are the main objectives of the trust,” Dr Nizami held.
Dr Majid Nizami threw light on the performance of Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust. He also lauded assistance provided by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in the construction of Aiwan-i-Quaid-i-Azam.
Former president Rafique Tarar lauded the services of Dr Majid Nizami. Prof Dr Rafique Ahmad highlighted the importance of mother language as the medium of instruction. He observed that the progress and development registered by the European and Scandinavian countries relied on their respective mother languages used as the medium of instruction.
The other speakers included Syed Ghaus Ali Shah, who strongly recommended that an Aiwan-i-Quaid-i-Azam be built in Karachi, too; Chaudhry Naeem Hussain Chattha, who recommended the inclusion of the ideology of Pakistan in the curriculum; General (r) Zulfikar Ali Khan, who stressed the need for the proper orientation of, so to say, our rudderless society; Sahibzada Sultan Ahmad emphasised the need for checking thoroughly the credentials of the so-called intellectuals, who are holding the chairs of Allama Iqbal and the Quaid-i-Azam.
Walid Iqbal observed that we must learn to understand the true spirit of Islam by discovering how Allama Iqbal and the Great Quaid understood it. Arif Sheikh offered his services on the engineering as well as ideological fronts to Dr Majid Nizami. Naeem Qasim suggested the formation of Nazaria-i-Pakistan Youth Parliament.
Rana Ashfaq Rasool Khan, Begum Ghazala, Begum Bushra Rehman, Begum Mehnaz Rafi and Begum Majida Wyne were among the other speakers who lauded Dr Majid Nizami’s unrelenting service for the image-building and dignity of Pakistan.
The proceedings of the meeting were conducted by the trust Secretary Shahid Rasheed.
