LAHORE - Secretary Health Fawad Hassan Fawad have appointed different teaching hospitals for flood-hit districts to provide treatment facilities to the affectees. Each hospital will send a medical team to the concerned districts on rotational basis and every team will stay for ten days in its respective district. Each team will consist on two medical officers, two paramedics and one ambulance. In this connection, secretary health has issued the orders. According to the notification, Allama Iqbal Medical College, Jinnah Hospital Lahore, KEMU, Mayo Hospital Lahore and Nishtar Medical College Hospital Multan will be responsible to send medical teams to Muzaffargarh district. Similarly, KEMU/Mayo hospital Lahore, Nishtar Medical College Hospital Multan and Quaid-e-Azam Medical College, Victoria Hospital Bahawalpur will send teams to Dera Gazi Khan, Services Institute of Medical Sciences/Services Hospital Lahore, Quaid-e-Azam Medical College/Victoria Hospital Bahawalpur and Post Graduate Medical Institute/Lahore General Hospital will look after district Rajanpur. Punjab Medical College/Allied Hospital Faisalabad and AIMC/Jinnah Hospital Lahore have been allocated for district Layyah, Rawalpindi Medical College BBH Rawalpindi and FJMC/Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Lahore will look after district Mianwali whereas, Sheikh Zayed Medical College Hospital Rahim Yar Khan will send medical teams to its native district. The most affected districts of Muzaffargarh, DG Khan and Rajanpur will have three medical teams whereas district Layyah and Mianwali will have two medical teams each while Rahim Yar Khan will have one medical team at a time. Each team will stay for ten days in the respective districts and will return upon the arrival of fresh teams. These orders will be implemented immediately and continued till further orders.
