Tamgha-i-Imtiaz awarded


LAHORE - The Government of Pakistan has conferred the civil award ‘Tamgha-i-Imtiaz’ on Prof Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Iqbal in recognition of his distinguished contribution to research and scholarship in the field of education. He has recently retired as Professor and the Dean Faculty of Education, University of the Punjab.
Dr Iqbal has served the field of education for more than 32 years. He has published about 60 research papers in various journals of national and international repute and widely presented in international conferences.
He has supervised a large number of Master dissertations and about 16 PhD students, majority of them have completed their PhDs.
As an acknowledgment of his services in the field of education, he had previously been awarded National award Izaz-e-Fazeelat by Government of Pakistan, and the Best University Teacher award by the HEC.
