The Punjab governor, being an old buddy of PAT chief Dr Tahirul Qadri, along with Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Abad is also playing an important part in efforts to settle the things peacefully.
Sources say the PML-N leadership has decided not to accept any unconstitutional demand of PTI and PAT, and has rejected the demand of resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and dissolution of the assemblies, considering it contempt to the mandate of the people. They say the pro-democratic forces would be got together to defuse tension, defend the democratic set up and oppose the unconstitutional demands.
The party sources say the government has decided to exercise patience and not to take any rash step that complicates the situation, but it will not allow protesters to take any unconstitutional or unlawful act, or cross the permitted limits.
On the other hand, during talks with JI Ameer Sirajul Haq the PML-N leadership emphasised the need to find ways and means to save the democratic system. Following that meeting, Siraj also talked to Leader of the Opposition Syed Khursheed Shah.

A source say the PTI is not ready to accept the offer as it believes that no impartial and transparent probe is possible as long as the PM and the CM are there. Some independent sources say next two days are very important regarding the outcome of the current situation.
