Rise against Fall of Dhaka

LAHORE - Chief Justice (r) Mian Allah Nawaz observed that the Dhaka Fall was a logical outcome of the neglect of the exhortations of the Father of the nation.
Delivering his presidential address at a special sitting to observe the Fall of Dhaka day held at the Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan He remarked that the Quaid-i-Azam’s last interview with a Canadian radio had enlightened him about the real intent and purpose of his securing Pakistan for the Muslims of the sub-continent suffering from the Hindu and British repression.
The Quaid-i-Azam, Mian Allah Nawaz said, strongly upheld the ideal of bridging gaps between the haves and have-nots. He vehemently advocated the social and economic rights of the under-privileged classes. In the answer to a question during this interview, the Quaid-i-Azam had observed that the capitalist and socialist systems had miserably failed to address the problems plaguing the ailing humanity, and that it was only Islam that could come to its rescue.
It was most unfortunate, Mian Allah Nawaz observed, that, after the demise of the Quaid-i-Azam, the feudalist and capitalist classes of Pakistan mercilessly violated his clear instructions and refused to share power and money with the poor and indigent.
Even the Zakat money serves to fatten the pockets of the officials and workers of the political parties. In the answers to other questions, the Quaid-i-Azam had observed that the constitution of Pakistan would surely be based on the golden principles of Islam, that Pakistan would be a federation where democracy would rule supreme, and that a fair distribution of power between the centre and provinces would be effected.
The Quaid-i-Azam had also emphasized the need for utmost honesty and integrity in civil service, judiciary, health, education etc., Mian Allah Nawaz observed.
The Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust and Pakistan Movement Workers Trust jointly organized the sitting.
The speakers included the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Vice Chairman Prof Dr Rafique Ahmad, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami, Col (r) Z.I. Farrukh, Begum Mehnaz Rafi and Dr. Parveen Khan who spoke on the subject “The Fall of Dhaka Day – Causes and Effects.” The proceedings of the event were conducted by the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust secretary Shahid Rasheed.
The Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Vice Chairman Dr Rafique Ahmad observed that a united Pakistan is clearly there on the horizon, as it was brought into existence by the power of vote, whereas Bangladesh is the outcome of the Indian aggression.
The fact of the matter is that the hearts of the Bangladeshi and Pakistani people are filled with fraternal feelings for each other. The Muslim League, the party that created Pakistan, was founded in Dhaka and our Bengali brethren offered innumerable sacrifices to win freedom for us all.
