Change linked with general elections, not LB polls: Rana Sanaullah

Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that conducting local bodies elections could cause delay in general elections. Talking to media persons outside the Punjab Assembly on Tuesday, Rana Sanaullah said that significance of LB elections could not be denied but it was the time to prepare for the general elections. He said that masses were anxiously waiting for general elections as it was the only way to bring change and get rid of the corrupt political leadership which deprived the countrymen of basic rights and two time meal. The Punjab law minister said that LB elections should be held six months after the general elections. Sanaullah said that Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Fakhruddin G Ibrahim is unprejudiced and it could be hoped that general elections would be free and transparent. Commenting over the Advisor on Interior, Rehman Malik, the PML-N leader said that he was responsible for lawlessness in Karachi and was looking for a chance to flee abroad. He expressed concern over the high transport fares despite decrease in the prices of petroleum products and urged for reviewing the prices of petroleum products after one month.
