LAHORE: Justice Khwaja Imtiaz Ahmad will take oath as Lahore High Court Chief Justice today (Tuesday) at a ceremony to be held in Governor House. Punjab Governor Ch Sarwar will administer the oath to Justice Ahmad. Justice Ahmad will be 42nd Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court. He was born on March 30, 1953 in Pind Dadan Khan, district Jehlum. He passed matriculation examination from Government High School, Pind Dadan Khan and did his graduation from Gordon College, Rawalpindi. After getting LLB degree from Baha-ud-Din Zakriya University, Multan, he was enrolled as advocate in 1980 and started legal practice. He was appointed as Additional District and Sessions Judge in 1992, promoted as District and Sessions Judge in 2000 and served as such till 2009. He was elevated to LHC on Sept 15, 2009.
