LAHORE  - The Ravian Forensic Society (RFS) of Government College University has organised a lecture titled ‘Forensic Entomology: Insects as evidence.’The lecture was addressed by Genetic Society of Pakistan PresidentProf Dr Muhammad Aslam Khan whereas RFS Advisor Dr Akhyar Farrukh alsoattended the event.Speaking on the occasion, Prof Aslam explained how the insects were used as evidence in forensic entomology. He described the forensic science then correlated it with entomology. He briefly told the history of entomology that started in 14 century. He highlighted insect activity case study including open field habit, coastal habitat, native bush habitat, jungle habitat and native highland habitat. He concluded that the entomology was the emerging field in which the insects were used as evidence to determine the death time of the corpse.
