Book Fair receives appreciation

LAHORE - The Quaid-i-Azam Book Fair, arranged by Qauid-i-Azam Library at Bagh-e-Jinnah continued on second day (Saturday) and a good number of book lovers paid visit and also purchased books.
Civil society appreciated the book fair and urged the government to continue practice of arranging such fairs because reading float positive ideas in the minds of the members of society, and it is also a source of income for many people.
On the occasion, a function was also arranged for the children who recited the national anthem along with the senior members of civil society. Later, the organisers of the book fair released hundreds of gas filled balloons in air with a book giving massages: “The solution of all the problems in Pakistan and world lies in books” and “Pakistan is a peaceful country and book is a sign of peace and book reading habit can help peace and tranquility in Pakistan”.
Meanwhile, the Quaid-i-Azam Library arranged a one day training workshop - “Library Automation and Management” - which was presided over by Director General Public Libraries Punjab and participated by librarians from over hundred libraries from all over the province.
Secretary Archives and Libraries Oriya Maqbool Jan was the chief guest of the programme.
