LAHORE - The Pakistan Hockey Federation has decided to appoint former Olympian Hassan Sardar as chairman selection committee. According to sources, PHF President Qasim Zia is likely to announce his name in a due course. It may be recalled here that Hassan Sardar had also served the hockey team as captain. He also earned a gold medal during Olympics in Los Angeles in 1984. Sardar is ranked among the best centre forwards in history of Pakistan's hockey. He also owns the world record of scoring the highest number of goals (11) in one match.
