Seminar on breast cancer awareness

LAHORE - Department of Surgery, King Edward Medical University and Surgical Oncology of Pakistan, on Saturday organised a seminar on breast cancer awareness. Vice Chancellor KEMU Prof Asad Aslam was the chief gust. Experts highlighted the importance of early diagnose and proper treatment to save womenfolk from future complications. Addressing the participants, Prof Asad Aslam said the early diagnose of breast cancer could save victims from many complications. Prof Arshad Cheema, Head of Surgery Department and President of Surgical Oncology Society of Pakistan, said females feeling lump in breast should immediately contact doctors. He informed that Breast Clinic was working at Mayo Hospital OPD on every Monday and Thursday. Dr Zahid Pervez, Medical Superintendent Mayo Hospital, said the hospital was providing best possible medical facilities to female patients free of cost. For early diagnosis, mammography machine was also installed. Prof Sadaqat A Khan, Prof Khalid Masood Gondal, Prof Abu Fazal. Prof Zafar Ali Chaudhry, Prof Farrah Asghar and Dr Raas Masood also addressed the seminar.
