LAHORE - Chinese Consul General in Lahore Yu Boren met Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Friday and shared views on the matter of mutual interest, bilateral relations and promotion of cooperation in different sectors between Pakistan and China.
Shahbaz Sharif highlighted the strong bonds of friendship between the two countries and said: “China is playing a role of sincere and true friend who wants to see Pakistan a progressive and prosperous country. Pakistani people are waiting to accord a warm welcome to Chinese president during his visit to Pakistan.”
The chief minister said that agreements of investment of billions of dollars will be signed during the visit of Chinese president to Pakistan. He said that great cooperation of China in energy, infrastructure, transport and other sectors is commendable.
He said that during the tenure of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Pak-China ties have touched new horizons and new avenues of economic, trade and economic cooperation are opening between the two countries.
Chinese Consul General Yu Boren said that China attaches great importance to its relations with Pakistan and will continue to further promote cooperation in different sectors with it.
SAAD CALLS ON SHAHBAZ: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that a solid strategy has been evolved for the promotion of economic, trade and social activities in Punjab.
Talking to Federal Minister for Railways Kh Saad Rafique who called him on Friday, the chief minister said that the PML-N government is implementing an effective strategy for coping with the terrorism, poverty and energy crisis.
He said that work is continuing on energy projects speedily. He said that generation of electricity will be started from various energy projects by the end of 2017. He said that the problem of energy shortage will be overcome with the cooperation of friendly country China.
Shahbaz Sharif said that electricity would be available for the industry of the country after the completion of energy projects. He said that implementation on national action plan is yielding positive results for eliminating terrorism.
