LAHORE - The Punjab counter-terrorism department yesterday arrested six suspects after two successful raids in different parts of Lahore.
A spokesperson for the CTD said that the pre-dawn raids were conducted on the hideouts in of the suspected militants in Township and Baidian road. The CTD personnel also seized weapons and explosive material from their possession.
The suspects were identified as Omar Sajid, Hadayat Ullah Farooqi, Yasin, Sadiq, Inam Ullah, and Ata Ullah. They were shifted to an unknown location for further interrogation.
An official said that the arrests were made during joint operations involving intelligence personnel early yesterday. Officials say they expect more terror-related arrests in the days ahead since the suspects are being grilled by investigators.
