LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif and founding member of Qatar Jasim Charitable Foundation Sheikh Jasim Bin Hammad Bin Jasim laid the foundation stone of 50-bed hospital at Haiderabad Thal of Bhakkar yesterday.
According to a handout issued here, the hospital would be built by Jasim and Hammad Bin Jasim Charitable Foundation Doha of Qatar.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM said public service is worship. He said under the leadership of PM Nawaz Sharif, the government is successfully doing public service while the opponents of the progress and prosperity of the people made every effort to hamper development.
“The situation of country is improving under the leadership of PM Nawaz. Darkness will be removed from the country at the end of next year and surplus electricity will be available;” he said.
The CM went on to say: “Implementation has been started on the biggest Kissan Package in the history of the country. The process of provision of interest free loans of 100 billion rupees to the owners of 12.5-acre land has also been started. Subsidy is being given to the farmers on fertilizers besides electricity tariff on agri-tube wells has been reduced.”
He said hat head of PTI had spared no effort in ruining Pakistan through sit-ins in 2014 and on November 2, he wanted to lock down Islamabad and process of development of Pakistan but he failed.
He said that electricity will be available substantially for agriculture, industries, education, health and other sectors. Latest quality medical facilities will be available to the people with the construction of modern hospital by Jasim and Hammad Bin Jasim Charitable Foundation Qatar in Bhakkar, he added.
He said Qatar is a brotherly Islamic country of Pakistan and thanked Jasim Charitable Foundation for 50-bed hospital.
He said brotherly country Turkey has constructed a 100-bed modern Tayyip Erdogan Hospital in Muzafargarh which is a precious gift by Turkey for the people of Pakistan. There is no hospital at par with this hospital throughout Pakistan including Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, he added.
The CM said that the hospital to be constructed in Bhakkar by Jasim Charitable Foundation Qatar will be of same standard which will result in provision of modern treatment facilities to the people of the area. He said that Qatar is a brotherly Islamic country of Pakistan and more than 100,000 Pakistanis are performing their duties in different sectors in Qatar.
He said that PM Nawaz had visited Qatar and offered cooperation to the Qatar government for Football World Cup to the held in 2025.
He said Qatar is working on a 1320-megawatt Coal Power Plant project along with China at Port Qasim Karachi and this project will be completed next year. Shehbaz Sharif said that besides China, this is the biggest investment by Qatar in Pakistan.
He said: “Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iran and China are our best friends and with their cooperation, Pakistan will stand on its own feet and achieve a respectable place in the comity of nations.”
